The Lost World. Alien Island. The Pearl of the Indian Ocean.
These are just some of the phrases often used to describe Socotra Island, often seen as a highly prized travel destination to visit in most adventurers eyes. Sadly for the past few years it has virtually been off the map due to the awful civil war in Yemen, although thankfully it has never been part of it and remains stable and secure.
Although we were originally due to use recently announced direct flights from Abu Dhabi, these didn’t materialise, therefore we’ve decided to charter a ferry from Oman to Socotra which will have armed guards for added security meaning one of the most remote places in the world will be more accessible but most importantly – safely!
My first ever group tour will be run in partnership with Lupine Travel and we’ve now announced our first tour that will be running to the island.
Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances, our April 2018 tour has had to be cancelled/postponed. Both myself and Lupine Travel are working hard to set up new dates for the tour which will be posted in the near future. If you would like to be a part of the trip, please click the link below.
